GORM and former RTÉ Executive Producer Anne Roper collaborate to upskill Ireland’s next media talent

Supported by Coimisiún na Méan, The Close-Up is your pathway to mastering storytelling for screen. Led by Anne Roper, former RTE Executive Producer, this bootcamp expands upon our Wideshot Programme, supporting participants to take their stories from idea to screen.

This isn't your average workshop; it's a platform for authentic growth. Over four intensive weekends between May and October 2024, participants dive deep into visual storytelling techniques, camera operations, and pitching for commision. Each session is led by industry experts, ensuring hands-on learning and skill refinement.

But The Close-Up is more than just workshops; it's a supportive community. Participants collaborate, share their story ideas, and nurture each other's creativity and storytelling skills. Diversity and inclusion is at the core of what GORM does, and we believe that nurturing diverse stories led by diverse communities is one of the ways we can unify across our differences.
