The Wideshot Programme Open Day
On 27 March 2026, GORM welcomed applicants, alumni, mentors and partners to Layla’s at The Devlin, Dublin for the Wideshot Programme Open Day, a community-focused introduction to this year’s programme.
The day featured an alumni panel discussion, a screening of “GO HOME” by Marcello Fidelis (winner of the 2025 Close-Up Summer Residency), and a hands-on storytelling workshop with filmmaker Naima Mohamud.
Participants also met the Wideshot facilitators, learned more about the programme journey ahead, and connected with fellow creatives, mentors and partners.
The Open Day offered a first taste of the Wideshot Programme experience, building community, confidence and creative pathways for emerging storytellers.
