GORM Achieves People & Planet First Verification

At GORM, we believe that difference doesn’t mean division and this verification recognises that belief in action.
We’re proud to share that GORM has officially achieved People & Planet First Verification, a globally recognised benchmark for social enterprises operating to the highest standards of purpose-driven impact.
This isn’t just a shiny new badge (although we’ll admit, it does look rather nice). It’s a mark of trust adopted in over 130 countries, affirming that people and planet come first in everything we do.

What does People & Planet First actually mean?
Great question. The verification process evaluates organisations against five core principles that underpin genuine social enterprise:
- Purpose: Our mission is clear—we exist to solve social and environmental challenges, specifically by bridging divides through intercultural media and education.
- Operations: Every strategic decision we make is grounded in our mission. Purpose, people, and planet guide how we operate and grow.
- Revenue: We’re self-sustaining. Our intercultural programmes, DEI consultancy, and creative community projects generate revenue and real-world impact.
- Use of Profits: The majority of our profits are reinvested back into our mission—elevating voices, enabling communities, and equipping leaders.
- Structure: Our legal and governance model locks in our social purpose for the long haul, ensuring strong accountability and clarity of vision.
Why this matters
In a world that often equates business success with profit alone, verifications like this challenge that narrative. They show that businesses can and should operate to solve social and environmental problem, not just as a by-product, but as their very reason for existing.
This verification places GORM among a growing global movement of enterprises redefining what good business looks like—building economies that serve people and planet, not just shareholders.
