Our founder, Mamobo Ogoro was recognised as the 'activist of the year' at the Black & Irish Awards. At the inaugural event sponsored by Warner Music Ireland, Virgin Media, Intel and Guinness, the inaugural awards ceremony recognised the work of figures in the Black and mixed-race community in Ireland.
Black & Irish gave out 10 awards to key members in the black and mixed race community in Ireland for their incredible work. These awards will occur annually and will only grow in years to come,” said Leon Diop, founder of Black & Irish.

Mamobo in a recent tweet highlighting the event stated that:
